NOTE
FOR LATERAL EXPOSURES:
Use a ruler to measure the distance between the layer light and the
patient’s temporomandibular joint so that you can determine the imaging
position. Adjust the imaging position with the minus or plus sign
according to your measurement.
NOTE
FOR DOUBLE TMJ EXPOSURES:
You can set the X-ray unit so that the imaging position is automatically
moved forward for the open jaw exposure (2/2). To do this, select
Settings > Program > 2200 Program Features > 2220 2D TMJ > TMJ 2/2
Shift and adjust the setting with the minus or plus sign (e.g. 10 mm). The
result is shown on the ruler (e.g. 1/2 = 77 mm and 2/2 = 67 mm).
4. Check that the midsagittal plane light and the Frankfort plane light are
still correctly positioned. Reposition them if necessary.
NOTE
FOR POSTEROANTERIOR EXPOSURES:
It is not possible to adjust the imaging position.
