LIS File Naming Convention
An LIS file may consist of an entire worklist or a bracket of a worklist if the Control Bracketing
is enabled. The naming convention for LIS files is as follows:
<Prefix><InstrumentSerialNumber>-<STARTDATE-TIME>-<WorklistID>-
<BracketStartReplicate>-<BracketEndReplicate>.<Ext>

If more than one bracket is exported at once (for example, if the entire worklist is being
exported or if multiple brackets are queued up due to an error transmitting an earlier bracket)
then the BracketStartReplicate and BracketEndReplicate will reflect the starting position and
ending position of all replicates exported, not just one bracket.

InstrumentSerialNumber Serial Number of Instrument as defined on the run report
STARTDATE-TIME The date and time that the worklist was started in the following format:
YYYYMMDD-HHmmss (note the embedded dash character).
WorklistID Numeric identification number assigned to the Worklist, i.e. Worklist
number
BracketStartReplicate Present when Control Bracketing is enabled. This represents the index
of the replicate that starts the result bracket. It is only part of the filename
if the Auto Transmit Results function is enabled, allowing brackets to
export as they are released.
Note: This is not part of a filename if re-exporting an entire worklist
that was bracketed.
BracketEndReplicate Present when Control Bracketing is enabled: represents index of the
replicate that ends the result bracket. Is only part of the filename if the
Auto Transmit Results function is enabled allowing brackets to export as
they are released.
Note: This is not part of a filename if re-exporting an entire worklist
that was bracketed.
Ext “lis” is the file extension.
