Managing the Database
Information in the PROCLEIX
®
TIGRIS System database must be periodically archived, purged,
or backed up and restored.
Perform database maintenance functions using the Data Management
tab of the Maintenance
screen.
Archiving and Purging Worklists
To decrease the number of old worklists displayed on the Worklists screen, archive and purge
worklists from the PROCLEIX
®
TIGRIS System database at least once a month. (See
“Managing the Database” in Volume II under “Section 3. Monthly Maintenance.”) Make sure that
an archive location is configured before archiving and purging worklists. (See “Configuring the
Archive Parameters” on page 5-32.)
Archiving and Purging Logs
Archive and purge system logs from the database at least once a month. (See “Managing the
Database” in Volume II under “Section 3. Monthly Maintenance.”) Make sure that an archive
location is configured before archiving and purging worklists. (See “Configuring the Archive
Parameters” on page 5-32.)
Backing Up and Restoring the Database
Back up the PROCLEIX
®
TIGRIS System database periodically to preserve a copy of the data.
Backing Up the Database
1. Click Database Backup... on the Data Management tab of the Maintenance screen.
A Shutdown and Backup Database
window opens.
2. Click OK.
The system automatically shuts down. The shutdown process can take several minutes.
When shutdown is complete, the system creates a copy of the PROCLEIX TIGRIS
System database in the configured archive location. When the shutdown/backup
process is complete, the software will automatically perform a restart.
3. Wait for the system to restart, then log in to the operator account.
Restoring the Database
1. Click Database Restore... on the Data Management tab of the Maintenance screen.
A Restore
window opens requesting confirmation.
2. Click OK.
A Restore Database From File
window opens
Note: An operator must have the “Maintenance – Database” right to back up and restore
the database.
Note: Always back up the database before restoring it.
