Static:InstructstheHBStofindanoptimaltransmitpowervalue.TheHBS
thenlocksontothispowervalueanddoesnotchangeituntilthisconfigu
rationoptionischanged,oruntiltheunitisreset.
Dynamic:InstructstheHBStofindanoptimaltransmitpowervalue.The
HBSwillchangethispowervaluefromtimetotimewhenneeded.
RSSThreshold:TheHBSinstructseachHSUtosetitstransmitpowersothat
theHBSwillreceivethepowerlevelindicatedhere.Thespecificpowe rlevels
dependontheradioplan,butarealsoinfluencedbyyourchoiceofChannel
Bandwidth.
TheATPCtriangleintheHSUcardwillturngreen,redoryellow(seeTableViewon
page 28)inaccordancewiththestatusofthismode.ATPCStatuscanbeaddedto
theListViewintheMainWindow(seeListViewonpage 212).
ResourceAllocation:
IfthesectoryouareworkingwithhasacombinationofCIRandBestEffortHSUs,this
optionallowsyoutosetwhatpercentageofthesectorresourcesareallocatedtoCIR
unitsandwhatpercentageareallocatedtoBEunits.
•IfyouhaveonlyBEunits,checktheBestEffortonlybox.Thisislikesetting
CIR/BestEffortRatioto0.0%/100.0%.IfyouhaveatleastoneCIRunit,this
boxisdisabled.
•IfyouhaveonlyCIRunits,movetheslidertothefarright,andget100%for
CIR.ThisisthemostefficientuseofresourcesforasectorwithonlyCIR
units.
YoucansetthisbeforeanyfixedHSUsareregistered,andifyouchoose100%ofone
kindoranother,youwillbelimitedwhenregisteringtheHSUstothatresourcetype.
WhenyouregisteraspecificHSU,youchoosewhatpercentageofthespecific
resourcetype(CIRorBE)toallocatetothisHSU(seefigure 34,HSURegistration
dialog).
