- Connect RS 232 adapter cable to Flash-Box and to the selected interface (e. g. COM 1) of the PC.
- Connect USB-cable to Flash-Box and PC.
- After the USB cable was connected the  les which are transferred will appear on the Message
window. An end sign indicates that the transfer is completed.
- On the Flash-Box set DIP- switch 2 to „OFF“ and 3 to „ON“ (the other switches remain „OFF“).
Flash-Box is ready for use.
Software update CM units
1 General
To update a CM unit of new generation you need:
- CM-Software e.g. C-1-07.01.hex
- software „Megaload.zip“.
Both are available on the Rational Service internet page under:
„Technical documentation/Software update SCC-Line/CM“.
- download CM-Software e.g.“C-1-07.01.hex“
- download „megaload.zip“ to PC,
- open  le„megaload.zip“,
- Start the program Setup.exe and follow the description on the screen,
- Start the program Megaload and carry out basic settings.
Open CM Software; e.g.: C-1-07.01.hex
Select desired interface on the PC, e.g. Com1
Transfer rate must be set to 19200 bps.
On the „Message“ window the progress of the download
software download is indicated.
Now You can load the software:
- direct from PC to CM unit, (see item 4 next page) or
- with Flash-Box 87.00.037 to CM unit, (see following items 2, 3).
Flash-Box kit contains of:
- Flash-Box
- Adapter cable RS 232
and USB-cable
(only required for down
loading the unit soft-
ware to the Flash-Box).
- Open lid of the
Flash-Box
- Set DIP - switch
2 to „ON“. (other
switches remain in
the „OFF“ position)
