How do I reset my display?

Display very dull/hard to view
• Check PALETTE set to DAY (see
page 19
).
• Check backlight level (see
page 19
).
No fix displayed against GPS status icon
• Check GPS status (see
page 291
).
• Check the GPS antenna has a clear view of the sky.
• Check connections/operation of the GPS antenna.
No instrument navigational or engine data displayed
• Check instruments/engine interface are operating correctly.
• Check SeaTalk/NMEA correctly connected to Display (see System Integration chapter of the Instal-
lation Guide).
• Check all SeaTalk/NMEA cables are free from damage and corrosion.
Display continuously resets/re-boots, or turns itself on/off
• Check no buttons are stuck under the front bezel (fascia)
• If possible save your data (waypoints, routes and tracks). A factory reset is required, this will erase
all stored data and system settings
• Factory reset:
1. Press and hold (5 seconds) the first soft key next to the power button until the 3 second count
down is complete, once complete you will hear a long beep and the display will return to the
‘limitation on use’ screen as default.
• Perform a software upgrade as described above or re-install the current software level if not sur-
passed by a new version.
Display occasionally reboots itself, crashes or performs erratically
• Check no buttons are stuck under the front bezel (fascia)
• If possible save your data (waypoints, routes and tracks). A factory reset is required, this will erase
all stored data and system settings

• If the menu’s are not available then follow the Factory reset a per point 1 above.
