Afteryou'vesetupandactivatedtheD-STAR®connector,switchthemodemtoDMRmode.
YouroutgoingcallsignwillbethecallsignassociatedwiththeDMRsourceID.Ifthere'snocallsignassociatedto
theID,thenthecallsignwillbetheDefaultcallsignforcrossmodecalls.Ifthisisnotset,youroutgoingcallsign
willbeyourradio'sDMRIDastext.
Anincomingcall'ssourceDMRIDwillbesettotheIDassociatedwiththesourcecallsign.Ifthere'snoID
associated,andthesourcecallsigncanbeparsedintoanumber,itwillbeusedasthesourceDMRID.Otherwise
theDefaultcrossmodesourceDMRIDwillbeused.
AllcallscomingfromtheD-STAR®networkwillbesentasagroupcalltoDMRID9(TG9).MakesureTG9isthe
TXcontactofyourDMRradio'scurrentchannel,orit'sinanRXgrouplistwhichisassignedtothecurrentchannel
intheradio,otherwisethesquelchwon'topenandyouwon'thearthecalls.
UsingaC4FMnetwork
Afteryou'vesetupandactivatedtheC4FMconnector,switchthemodemtoDMRmode.OnlycallsinDN(Digital
Narrow)modewillbeconvertedtoyourDMRradio.IfsomeonetransmitsinothermodesontheC4FMnetwork,
youwillhearsilenceonyourDMRradio.
YouroutgoingcallsignwillbethecallsignassociatedwiththeDMRsourceID.Ifthere'snocallsignassociatedto
theID,thenthecallsignwillbetheDefaultcallsignforcrossmodecalls.Ifthisisnotset,youroutgoingcallsign
willbeyourradio'sDMRIDastext.
Anincomingcall'ssourceDMRIDwillbesettotheIDassociatedwiththesourcecallsign.Ifthere'snoID
associated,andthesourcecallsigncanbeparsedintoanumber,itwillbeusedasthesourceDMRID.Otherwise
theDefaultcrossmodesourceDMRIDwillbeused.
AllcallscomingfromtheC4FMnetworkwillbesentasagroupcalltoDMRID9(TG9).MakesureTG9istheTX

ThesourceNXDN®IDofyourDMRcallswillbesettothesamevalueastheDMRcallunlesstheAlwaysusethis
IDincrossmodesettingisenabledfortheDefaultcrossmodesourceIDontheSettingspage,NXDN®settings
section.
YourDMRcallswillbesenttothesameNXDN®IDastheDMRcall'sdestinationIDunlesstheAlwaysusethisID
incrossmodesettingisenabledfortheDefaultcrossmodedestinationIDontheSettingspage,NXDN®
settingssection,orthedestinationDMRIDisoutoftheNXDN®IDrange(0-65535).Inthiscase,theDefault
crossmodedestinationIDwillbeusedfortheNXDN®call.
ThedestinationandsourceDMRIDsforanincomingNXDN®callwillbesettothesamevalueastheincoming
call'sdestinationandsourceIDunlesstheAlwaysusethisIDincrossmodesettingisenabledforthe
destination/sourceNXDN®IDsontheSettingspage,NXDN®settingssection.
MakesurethedestinationIDoftheNXDN®calls(theNXDN®talkgroup)istheTXcontactofyourDMRradio's
currentchannel,orit'sinanRXgrouplistwhichisassignedtothecurrentchannelintheradio,otherwisethe
