3 INSTALLATION
3.4 Connections
3.4.1 Cabling of signal and voltage supply lines
WARNING: Risk of explosion through incorrect installation .
The signal and voltage supply lines of the TRANSIC111LP may be installed only by
technicians.
WARNING: Risk of explosion when working on live parts
Always make sure the voltage supply lines are disconnected before starting any
electrical work.
WARNING: Risk of explosion through sparks
In potentially explosive atmospheres, sparking occurring when using the RS-232 inter-
face or activating the on/off switch can lead to an explosion.
Never use the RS-232 interface or the on/off switch in a potentially explosive
atmosphere.
WARNING: Damage to cables through heat
Only use cables specified for temperatures >70°C.
NOTICE: Damage to cables through dust or moisture
Only open the device in a dry environment free from dust.
WARNING: Caution: Risk of fire caused by excessive energy input in error case
A PELV power supply unit (11 ... 36 V DC, 24 V DC recommended) is required.
The installer/operating company is responsible for correct selection.
The installer of a system is responsible for the safety of a system in which the device is
integrated.
WARNING: Endangerment of electrical safety
A disconnecting device must be provided to disconnect the TRANSIC111LP from the
power supply and potential-free. Fit the disconnecting device as close as possible to the
measuring device and easily accessible.
