5.5.3.1 Hardware Configuration
The hardware configuration is carried out in the lower–level subfunction
”HW Config” of the SIMATIC Manager.
Note:
The configuration data of the AddFEM have to be included once in the database of
the SIMATIC Manager before configuration is started. The GSD file of the
AddFEM ( SIEM80a3.gse, English or SIEM80a3.gsg, German) has to be copied
into the directory “...\step7\s7data\gsd” to this purpose. Then the function
Options–>Update Catalog” has to be carried out in HW Config. The AddFEM is
then stored in the catalog “PROFIBUS–DP\Additional Field Devices\I/O”.
During the current configuration the AddFEM is attached to the PROFIBUS line of
the master CPU by dragging–and–dropping it. When the AddFEM is ”docked onto”
the PROFIBUS, the ”Select Setpoint Configuration” window is opened automati-
cally. To this purpose either ”AddFEM” (normal configuration without FEF) or
”AddFEMFEF” (Front–end function) has to be selected.
After the selection the AddFEM is connected “virtually” to the PROFIBUS.
The “Properties DP–Slave–>Parameter Assigment” dialog box is used to specify
the redundancy operating mode.
