5.5.3.1.3 Redundant AddFEM (Operating Mode 2)
At Operating Mode 2 the two AddFEMs which exist physically are docked “vir-
tually” to the PROFIBUS DP line of the SIMATIC S7–400.

The two AddFEMs have to be configured with different PROFIBUS DP addresses.
Interface A is assigned at each module. The configuration of the two modules has
to be absolutely identical, with the exception of the PROFIBUS DP address.
Note
Operating Mode 2 “
AS not red. AddFEM red.” has to be set individually at each of the
displayed modules.
