9.9 List of faults
FIDAMAT 6
Operating Instructions, 01/2019, A5E00222135-04
141
When a fault occurs, the device leaves the "Measure" operating state. After eliminating the
fault, you must leave this new state ("Standby"/"Pause"/"Pause without heating") again using
function 91 in order to return the device to the "Measuring" state.
Table 9- 2 Faults
S1
Q
Parameter memory Parameter memory test
failed
EEPROM contains incorrect
or incomplete data in the
working range
• Execute reset (function 74)
or turn the device off and on
again.
If the error message S1 ap-
pears again:
• Load user data (function 75)
• Inform service
Leave the device in opera-
tion in order to facilitate fault
diagnostics by service per-
sonnel!
S2
Q
Pump does not
start up
(FIDAMAT 6-E
• Combustion air pressure
(sample gas) too high
• Pump defective
• Check combustion air pres-
sure
• Repair/replace pump
S3
Q
Flame does not
ignite
• No combustion gas or no
combustion air available
• Ignition cable defective
• No ignition spark
• Energy of ignition spark
too low
• Check combustion
gas/combustion air supply
• Replace ignition cable
• Check high-voltage (ignition
cable)
• Call service
S4 External fault External fault signal Check:
Function 72 must be configured
S5

side tolerance
Temperature sensor defec-
tive
Check temperature sensor.
S7
Flame temperature Flame temperature is
outside tolerance
Temperature sensor defec-
tive
Check temperature sensor

combustion gas
pressure
Combustion air pressure
(sample gas) or combus-
tion gas pressure outside
tolerance
• Pressure sensor defec-
tive
• Pressures incorrectly
adjusted
• Check pressure sensor
• Check pressure and adjust if
necessary using the pressure
regulators
S9
Q
Heating is off Heater has switched off
• The set temperature was
not reached
• Check heating elements
• Check temperature sensor in
the oven
