9.6.3 Reading the Result Tracks
In order to evaluate the current track bit assignment, bytes O to 3 and byte 7 can be read at all
times.
Result track bits are set when an internal counter value is within a specified initial and end
setpoint.
In case of incremental encoders, synchronization bits are set when a synchronization pulse is ac-
tive (via an external preliminary contact in connection with a zero mark and a count pulse) or syn-
chronized by the software.

An SP bit scan is not necessary to read the result tracks.
interrupt bits indicate which channel has triggered an interrupt (group signal) when an initial or
end
setpoint
or a zero shift value,
parameterized
with an interrupt identifier, was exceeded.
