5.3 Procedure for commissioning with STARTER

Results of the previous steps
● You have created a drive unit project offline using STARTER.
● You have saved the project data to the hard disk on your PC.
● You have transferred the project data to the drive unit.
● You have saved your project data to your drive's memory card so that it is backed up in
the event of a power failure.

The STARTER commissioning tool supports complex drive system operations.
u are confronted with any system conditions in online mode that are beyond your
control, you are advised to delete the drive project from the project navigator and carefully
create a new project in STARTER using the appropriate configuration data for your
application.
Commissioning with STARTER via Ethernet
Description
The Control Unit can be commissioned using a programming device (PG/PC) via the
integrated Ethernet interface. This interface is provided for commissioning purposes only and
cannot be used to control the drive in operation.
A routing of the integrated Ethernet interface via any inserted CBE20 expansion card is not
possible.
