IDEA Operating Manual - English
Nº 8
The height of the bit read by electrical contact is too big.
Use a key blank with a lower bit height.
Nº 9
Indicates that a movement has taken place exceeding the
depth limit for the cutting job in progress.
Possible causes:
• a negative manual adjustment of Y has been made to
the clamp or adapter used to grip the key.
• a negative MANUAL adjustment of Y has been made to
the circuit board by means of the SILCA KEY
PROGRAMS program.
Nº 11
The message indicates that the key-cutting machine
cannot complete an X movement because it exceeds the
limits set for the X axis.
Possible causes:
• a positive MANUAL adjustment has been made to X on
the clamp or adapter used to grip the key
• a positive MANUAL adjustment has been made on the
circuit board by means of the SILCA KEY PROGRAMS
program.
• a cutter that is too thick has been used.
Nº 12
The cutter is working under pressure and the motor cannot
guarantee the minimum number of revs.
Possible causes:
• the key material has not been selected properly; this
parameter is important for setting the right cutting speed.
• the cutter is worn
• the bit is too thick.
• the key material is too resistant.
• the cutter motor rev control device may be faulty.
Nº 13
The message indicates that the axis indicated (X, Y or B)
is not working properly due to:
• an obstacle preventing the axis from moving freely and
complete its run
• the limit switch sensor is not working (carry out the
sensor TEST)
• the photocell, if applicable, is not working (carry out the
photocell TEST)
• the motor that moves the axis is faulty (carry out the
motor TEST)
• the motor control on the electronic circuit board is faulty
(carry out the motor TEST)
