READING small bit or small double bit keys

1) Press the grip on the S100 mobile clamp and remove the adapter (jaw
B).
2) Install jaw

so that the letter E is facing the operator.
3) Open the fixed clamp (A) and the mobile clamp (E) by exerting
pressure on the jaw lever (F) and (F1) (fig. 73).

4) Fit the key into the special seat (axis X1) taking the bit all the way into
the fixed clamp (A) (fig. 74).
ATTENTION: position the key so that the highest tooth is facing left,
ensuring contact with the stop (0) on the vertical side
of the tooth.
5) Release the jaw lever.
6) Place the mobile clamp (E) in the best position on the stem between
the bit and key head. Make sure that there is a distance of min. 3 mm
and max. 15 mm between the bit and inside of the mobile clamp (E)
(fig. 87).
When the reading process starts the carriage will take the key into contact
with the laser beam along the path dictated by the Software.

7) At the end of the cycle see the message on the display in order to
continue.

Note:
Maximum dimensions of keys for Reading from
the original:
- Max. stem thickness = 4 mm
- Max bit length = 18 mm
- Max. bit height = 12 mm
If these conditions are not observed, the
machine will produce the error “Key cannot be
decoded”.
