Ping-PingFilter
ThePing-PingFilteranalysesthehistoricalinformationfrompreviousconsecutive
pingsinordertoremoveunwantednoiseandfalseechoesfromtheSU90presentation.
PulseType
ThePulseTypefunctionallowsyoutoselectthe"shape"ofthetransmittedpulses
("pings").Differentshapeshavedifferentqualities.Whichpulsetypetousedepends
onthecurrentenvironmentalconditions,yourrangetothetarget(s)andthetypeand
speedofthetarget(s)youareobserving.
Bandwidth
TheBandwidthfunctionallowsyoutoselectthefrequencyrangeintheHyperbolic
FrequencyModulated(HFM)transmissions.
Frequency
TheFrequencyfunctionallowsyousetthecentrefrequencyfortheHyperbolic
FrequencyModulated(HFM)andLinearFrequencyModulated(LFM)transmissions
(pings),andtheoperatingfrequencyfortheContinuousWave(CW)pings.
HorizontalTXSector
TheSU90transmitsinaswathwithmaximumhorizontalopeninganglexxx.By
meansoftheHorizontalTxSectorfunction,youcanchangethisopeningangleto
360°.ThefunctionisonlyavailableintheHorizontal,PlaneandInspectionviews.
VerticalTXSector
TheSU90transmitsinaswathwithmaximumverticalopeninganglexxx.Bymeans
oftheVerticalTxSectorfunction,youcanchangethisopeningangleto4.9to7°.The
functionisonlyavailableintheV erticalandNavigationviews.
RangeProjection
Thedistancetoatargetlocatedanywhereinthewatercolumncanbemeasuredintwo
ways.Thiscaneitherbethehorizontaldistancetothetarget(True),oralongthetilt
angle(Slant).TheRangeProjectionfunctiondeneshowthisdistanceismeasured.
AGC(AutomaticGainControl)
TheAGC(AutomaticGainControl)functionrunsanautomaticanalysisoftheecho
strength.
RCG(ReverberationControlledGain)
TheRCG(ReverberationControlledGain)functionremovesunwantedreverberation
fromthebottomandorfromtheseasurface.Thisenhancesthevisibilityofschools.
Itmayhoweveralsoremovescatteredshfromthepresentation.
