Deregistering a cordless headset
You must deregister a cordless headset from its original phone before you can register it to a
dierent phone.
To deregister a cordless headset:
1. When the phone to which the headset is registered is idle, press .
2. From the Main Menu, press q to highlight User Sengs, and then press .
3. From the User sengs menu, press q to highlight DECT Headset, and then press
.
The DECT headset menu appears.
4. From the DECT headset menu, press q to highlight Deregister, and then press
Select
.
The phone screen displays "DECT headset is deregistered."
The DECT headset menu appears.
Deregistering the cordless headset without the C520
Cordless headsets can also be deregistered using the headset. You can use this method
when you cannot use the deskset for standard deregistraon. The C520 may be out
of range or may have been removed from the system. Check your headset manual for
deregistraon instrucons applicable to your model.
Cordless accessory registraon and deregistraon me-out
If the cordless device is registered to another telephone, it must be deregistered rst.
See "Deregistering a cordless headset", above.
For security reasons, the registraon process on both the phone and the cordless
accessory terminates aer the me-out period of two minutes if registraon is not
successful.
If the registraon process mes out on the cordless accessory, the cordless accessory
resets itself. If the registraon process mes out on the phone, it displays "Registraon
Failed" and returns to Idle mode.
If cordless headset registraon fails, li the headset out of its charging base, place it
back in the charger, and try the registraon process again.
