Recommissioning after taking out of
service
If the truck has been out of service for over six
months, it must be inspected carefully before
recommissioning. Similar to the accident
prevention check, the inspection should also
cover all points relating to truck safety.
– Thoroughly clean the truck.
– Check the condition and spe
cific gravity of
the battery, charge the bat
tery if necessary.
– Check the hydraulic oil for condensate and
renew the oil, if necessary.
– Perform the services as before initial
operation.
– Take the truck into servi
ce.
– During commissioning check the following
points in particular:
• Drive, control, steering.
• Brake (service brake,
parking brake).
• Lifting device.
