Hazards
to employees
In accor
dance with the operating safety ordi-
nance (B
etrSichVO) and the German law on
health a
nd safety at work (ArbSchG), the oper-
ator (se
e ⇒ Chapter "Definition of terms used
for resp
onsible persons", P. 24) must iden-
tify and
assess hazards during operation and
establi
sh health and safety measures at the
workpla
ce necessary to protect employees
(BetrSi
chVO). The operator must therefore
draw up a
ppropriate operating instructions (§
6ArbSch
G) and make them available to the
driver.
A person responsible for health and
safety m
ust be appointed.
Truck construction and equipment is regulated
by the Machines Directive 2006/42/CE and
therefore bears the CE mark. On account of
their own CE mark, the attachment parts are
not included in the hazard assessment. The
operator must, however, select the type and
equipment of the trucks so as to comply with
local regulations relating to deployment.
