Checks and actions prior to use
• Visually check that the various truck com-
ponents are in good condition
• Check that the fork arms are in good
condition
• Check that all of the commands w
ork
correctly: buttons, throttle
setc.
• Turn the cockpit and check that, when
released, it automatically returns to the
centre position
• Check that the battery plug/outlet are
correctly positioned and intact
• Check that the wheels (tract
ion, load, pivot)
are in good condition
• Check that the buzzer signalling when the
truck is travelling in the direction of the fork
arms works correctly (if present)
• Check that the emergency stop button
works correctly
• Check that the horn works c
orrectly
• Check that the start/stop key works cor-
rectly
• Check that the electromagnetic brake works
effectively
• Check that the battery co
ver is fastened
correctly
• Check that the battery cover is closed and
locked correctly
• Check that the battery retainers are cor-
rectly positioned and fastened
• Check that the lifting
chain retaining device
(if present) is in good
condition and properly
fastened
• Check that the truck slows down on curves
• Check that the buttons and throttle auto-
matically return to their correct position after
release
• Check that the truck b
rakes and stops when
the throttle is relea
sed
• Check the battery electrolyte level and den-
sity as indicated in the battery instructions
• Check tyre wear
• Check that the batter
y wiring is intact
• Check that the pallet hook, if present, is
working correctly and that it has a protective
guard (optional).
