Printing Modes
Objet260printerscanbuildmodelsusingthreepossibleprintingmodes.
HQ(HighQuality)Mode—
•Modelsareprintedin16-micronlayers,resultinginsmoothsurfaces,
suitableforproducingfine-detailedanddelicateitems.
•Almosttwiceasmuchtimeisrequiredtoprintmosttrays,comparedto
theHighSpeedsetting.
•Thissettingisonlyavailablewhenmodelmaterialcanbeusedinfour
printheads,insingle-material printing.
Single-material printing:Allprintheadsprintmodelswithoutregardto
thesourceofthemodelmaterial.Thishappensinthefollowingsituations:
l Allprintheadsaresuppliedwithonemodelmaterial.
l Eachpairofprintheadsissuppliedwithadifferentmodelmaterial,but
modelsareprintedas if they were the same material.Theresultisan

HS(HighSpeed)Mode—
•Modelsareproducedin30-micronlayers,suitableforproducinglarger
models.
•Muchlesstimeisrequiredtoprintmosttrays,comparedtothe
HighQualitysetting.
•Thissettingisonlyavailablewhenmodelmaterialcanbeusedinfour
printheads,insingle-material printing.
DigitalMaterialMode—
•Usedwhenproducingtraysdesignedtobefabricatedfromtwoormore
modelmaterials.
•Usedwhenproducingatraycontainingtwoormoremodels,each
designedtobemadefromadifferent(single)modelmaterial.
•Usedwhenproducingmodelsfromonlyoneofthemodelmaterialsloaded
intheprinterbyprintingwithonlytwooftheprintheads.
•Modelsareproducedin30-micronlayers,buttheprintingisnear-high
quality.
•PrintingtimeissimilartoprintingtimeinHighQualitymode.
AlthoughprintingtimeislongerthanwithHighSpeedmode,Digital
Materialmodecanmakematerialreplacementunnecessary—savingboth
timeandthecostofwastedmodelmaterial.
