Thetransparencytestwillshowiftheheadsarenowproperlyaligned,
and—ifnot—thewizardwillallowyouto“finetune”thealignment.

Optimizing
(Calibrating)
Print Heads
Theconditionoftheprintheadsdirectlyaffectsthequalityofprintedmodels.
Tomaintainoptimumprinting,youshouldroutinelytesttheprintheads,and
calibratethemtothebestworkingconfigurationpossiblebyrunningthe
HeadOptimizationwizardevery300hoursofprinting.
Duringthisprocedure,youplaceascaleonthebuildtrayandconnectitto
theprinter.Printingmaterial(resin)isjettedfromeachheadanditsweightis
automaticallyrecordedandthewizarddetermineshowtooptimizetheprint
heads.
If,duringtheoptimizationprocess,thewizarddeterminesthataprintheadis
faulty—orthatitisnegativelyaffectinglayeruniformitywiththecurrenthead
configuration—thewizardinstructsyoutoreplaceit.Ifthishappens,youcan
continuethewizardtoreplacetheprinthead,orabortthewizard,toreplace
theheadatanothertime.
