Improving
Print Quality
Ifyoususpectthatprintqualityispoor,performthepatterntest(see"Pattern
Test"onpage6-31).Iftheresultsarepoor,usethefollowingprocedureto
improveprintquality.
Iftheresultsofthelastpatterntestarepoor:
1. FromtheOptionsmenu,selectPurgeSequence,orpressF4.
2. Intheconfirmationdialogbox,clickYes.
TheprintheadsarepurgedofModelandSupportmaterial,andthewiper
removesexcessmaterialfromthem.
3. Repeatthepurgesequence.

Cleaning the
Roller Waste

Inspecting the

Therollerwastecollectorremoveswastematerialscrapedfromtheroller.
Suctionremovesthiswastetotheprinter’swastecontainer.
Thisassemblyshouldbecleanedweeklytopreventablockageinthetubes
leadingtothewastecontainer,sothatwastematerialdoesnotoverflowinto
theprinter.
Tocleantherollerwastecollector:
1. Prepare—
❒ M2.5andM2Hex(Allen)keys
❒ disposablecleaninggloves
❒ isopropanol(IPA—isopropylalcohol)orethanol(ethylalcohol)
❒ cleaningcloth
❒ cottonswabs(Q-tipsorsimilar)
