INSPECTION
Oil seal
Check oil seal lip for wear or other damage.
Replace as necessary.
MEASURING PUMP COMPONENTS
Radial clearance
Using a feeler gauge, measure radial clearance between outer
rotor and case.
Radial clearance :
Service limit : 0.31 mm (0.0122 in.)
If measurement is not within specifications, replace the outer
rotor and/or case.
Side clearance
Using straightedge and feeler gauge, measure side clearance.
Side clearance
Service limit : 0.15 mm (0.0059 in.)
If measurement is not within specifications, replace the outer
rotor and/or pump case.
Oil pump components
Check outer and inner rotors, rotor plate and oil pump case for
excessive wear or damage.
Replace as necessary.
