Check IAC valve resistance.
Is result OK? (See page 3-38)

Check “18” terminal voltage.

Possible cause :
• Incorrect by-pass air screw adjustment
• IAC valve failure (mechanical)
• IAC passage failure (clogged hose, etc.)
• ECM failure

Check CMP sensor signal.

• ECM failure

CMP sensor failure

NOTE:
If there is an open circuit of any of the connector wires, sen-
sor damage or any other malfunction, ignition timing will re-
main fixed at BTDC 5°.
CHART5 : SELF-DIAGNOSTIC CODE “2-2”

Check “24” terminal voltage.
Is result OK? (See page 3-37)
Possible cause :
• ECM failure
Wire continuity / connection failure

CTP switch failure

In this case, CTP switch will be in “always ON” condition.
(“24” terminal voltage will be 0V always regardless throttle
position.)
