15-8 FRONT FORK AND STEERING
• Make sure approx. 10 mm (0.39 in) of inner rod thread is
exposed on the end. (!15-21)
• Insert the push rod into the inner rod.
• Insert the shaped projection of center bolt into the push
rod. (!15-22)
• Check or adjust the clearance between the locknut and center
bolt to provide more than 1 mm (0.04 in). (!15-22)
• Tighten the locknut/center bolt to the specified torque.
% Locknut/center bolt: 22 N·m (2.2 kgf-m, 16.0 lb-ft)
• Tighten the center bolt to the specified torque.
% Center bolt: 70 N·m (7.0 kgf-m, 51.0 lb-ft)
• Pour the specified amount fork oil into the outer tube in accor-
dance with the following table.
