• Inspect the gearshift cam groove for abnormal wear and dam-
age.
• Inspect the gearshift forks and shafts for wear and damage.
• Measure the gearshift fork thickness with the vernier calipers.

Standard: 4.60 – 4.70 mm (0.181 – 0.185 in)

• Measure the gearshift fork groove width with the vernier cali-
pers.

Standard: 4.80 – 4.90 mm (0.189 – 0.193 in)
" 09900-20101: Vernier calipers
• Measure the gearshift fork to groove clearance with the thick-
ness gauge.
# Gearshift fork to groove clearance
Service limit: 0.50 mm (0.020 in)
