COOLING SYSTEM 6-13
• Slowly heat the container and check the temperature on the
thermometer when the thermostat valve begins to open.
lifiMfJ Thermostat valve opening temperature:
73.5-76.5°C (164-170T)
• Continue heating the container until the water temperature is
above 90°C(194°F).
• When the water temperature reaches 90°C (194T), the ther-
mostat valve should have lifted at least 3.0 mm (0.12 in).
EEffiJ Thermostat valve lift: over 3.0 mm at 90°C
(over 0.12 in at194T)
• If the thermostat is faulty in either of these two checks,
replace it.
INSTALLATION
• Install the thermostat in the reverse order of removal. Pay
attention to the following points.
• Apply SUZUKI SUPER GREASE "A" to the rubber seal on
the thermostat.
For USA

For the other countries
5fn 99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE "A"
• After installing the thermostat, be sure to add engine coolant.
