OIL FILTER
• Turn the oil filter by hand until you feel that the oil filter gas-
ket has contacted the oil filter mounting surface. Then,
tighten the oil filter two full turns using the special tool.

NOTE:
Before installing the oil filter, apply a light coat of engine oil onto
its O-ring.
GENERATOR ROTOR COVER
• Install two dowel pins © and a new gasket ©.
• Install the generator rotor cover.
A CAUTION^
Use a new gasket to prevent oil leakage.
• Apply SUZUKI SUPER GREASE "A" to the new O-ring,
install the starter cup, and then tighten the mounting nut to
the specified torque.

99000-25030: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE "A"
For the other countries
^\99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE "A"
H Starter cup nut: 33 N m (3.3 kgf-m, 24.0 Ib-ft)
SPEEDOMETER GEARBOX
• Fit the gasket to the speedometer gearbox.
A CAUTION
Use a new gasket to prevent oil leakage.
• Align the projection © of the speedometer gearbox with the
groove © of the driveshaft.
PISTON RING
• Install the oil ring first, then the 2nd ring, and finally the 1st
ring.
NOTE:
The 1st © and 2nd piston rings © differ in shape.
