Apply

"A" to
the sliding parts
of
the selection lever cable and selection lever before installa-
tion.

•
Attach the selection lever cable, washer,
and
E-ring
to
the
selection lever.
•
Align the punch mark
©
in the selection lever
with
the punch
mark
©
on the differential camshaft.
•
Install the selection lever onto the differential camshaft,
and
then tighten the bolt
©
securely.
•
Set the selection lever
@
to the lower "4WD" position on the
differential case and the selection shift lever
© to
the front
"4WD" position on the selection shift lever case bracket.
Install
the cable and
clip
differential case side.

A CAUTION
Make
sure the installation angle of the selection
lever is accurate and its position is adjusted prop-
erly.
Do not kink the push-pull cables during installation.
Kinking the push-pull cables
will
increase the
slid-
ing resistance and cause improper shifting.
