SPARK
PLUG
INSTALLATION
A
CAUTION
To avoid damaging the cylinder head threads; first,
finger
tighten
the spark plug, and
then
tighten
it to the
specified
torque
using the spark plug wrench.
•
Insert the spark plug and finger tighten it to the cylinder head
and then tighten it to the specified torque.
H Spark plug: 11 N m (1.1 kgf-m, 8.0
Ib-ft)
FUEL
HOSE
Inspect every 1 000 km (600 miles, 3 months).
Replace every
four
years.
Inspect the fuel hose for damage and fuel leakage. If any dam-
ages are found, replace the fuel hoses
with
a
new one.
•
When
replacing
the
fuel hoses, remove
the
front fender.

THROTTLE
CABLE
PLAY
Inspect
initially
at 200 km (100 miles, 1
month)
and
every 1 000 km (600 miles, 3 months)
thereafter.
Adjust the
throttle
cable play
®
as follows.
•
Loosen the locknut
©
of the
throttle
cable.
•
Turn the adjuster
©
in
or
out to obtain the correct play.
Throttle
cable play: 1-3 mm
(0.04-0.12
in)
After adjusting the
throttle
cable play, tighten the locknut
