the sliding parts
of
the
range lever cable and the range lever before installation.

•
Attach the range lever cable, washer, and
E-ring
to the range
lever.
•
Install the range lever
®
onto the crankcase camshaft
as
shown, and then tighten the bolt
©
securely.
Set
the
range lever
© to the
front (low) position
on the
crankcase and the range shift lever
®
to the front (low) posi-
tion
on the range lever case bracket.
•
Install the cable and
clip
@
to the stopper
©
located
on
the
crankcase side.
A CAUTION
Make
sure the installation angle of the range lever
is
accurate and its position is adjusted properly.
Do not to kink the push-pull cables during installa-
tion. Kinking the push-pull cables
will
increase the
sliding resistance and cause improper shifting.
