2. Connect the probe to the oscilloscope and the probe tip
to the probe compensation terminals (see Connecting
Probes for Calibration on page E--3).
3. If calibrating a passive probe, first perform the
Compensating Low Frequency Probes procedure on
page E--5.
4. Click the VERT toolbar button to open the Vertical Setup
control window.
5. Click the Probe Cal button to open the Probe Calibration
control window.
6. Select the oscilloscope channel to which the probe is
attached.
7. Click Clear Probecal to erase any previous calibration
data.
8. Click the Calibrate Probe button.
9. Check the Probe Status readout. Initialized indicates
that the probe has not been calibrated on the selected
channel. Pass indicates that the probe has been
calibrated on the selected channel.
Note: Probes without a TEKPROBE interface cannot be
calibrated.
