Use this procedure to quickly take a measurement based on the default settings
for High and Low reference levels.
Overview To take automatic measurements Control elements and resources
Prerequisites
1. The oscilloscope must be installed and operating, with a
signal connected to an input channel, and horizontal and
vertical controls and triggering set up.
2. Obtain a stable display of the waveform to be measured.
See page 3--25 for acquisition setup & page 3--49 for
trigger setup.

3. From the toolbar, click Meas to open the Measurement
Setup control window.
4. You can use a channel, reference, or mat h waveform as
the source. Click the appropriate waveform button on t he
Ch, Math, or Ref Source tab.
Take
automatic
measurements
5. Select the tab on the Measurement Setup control window
that contains the measurement you want to take: Ampl,
Time, More, or Histog.
6. Click the but ton for the measurement. For a list of the
available measurements, see Appendix B: Aut omatic
Measurements Supported.
The readout for the measurement is automatically
displayed, and the measurement is added to the
Measurements list in the control window.
Measurements are displayed in the right control window
area as shown here. If the wi ndow is occupied or there
are too many measurements to fit in that area, the
measurements are displayed in the l ower graticule area.
In roll mode, measurements are not available until after
you stop acquisitions.
