Replaceable modules
While we do not expect you to do much repair or troubleshooting of the individual circuit
boards, the system does have several removable modules which can be systematically
replaced or exchanged to aid in troubleshooting and repair. The system has the following
modules:
1) Power Supply part# PSUP-2x12
2) Dual ISDN interface card (slots A-D)
Part # 0212-1100 (Dual U interface - USA and Canada) OR
Part # 0212-1200 (Dual S interface Worldwide)
3) Dual Desktop Director Interface (slot F) part # 0212-1200
4) Analog Line Interface (slots A-C) part # 0212-1300 (please specify country)
5) Firmware flash memory SIMM module part # SIMM-2x12 (specify version number).
You will note that the Worldwide ISDN interface (slots A-D) and the Desktop Director
interface (slot F) are the same module. However, there are certain jumper settings which
distinguish the two. Always be sure to configure correctly before installation as follows:
When used in Slots A-D (ISDN S interface):
!
Jumpers J3, J4, J5, J6, J11, J12, J13, and J14 should be set to the left two pins (TE
setting)
!
Switch SW1 (or appropriate jumper) should be set to the down position (-48VDC
power off)
When used in Slot F (Desktop Director Interface):
!
Jumpers J3, J4, J5, J6, J11, J12, J13, and J14 should be set to the right two pins (NT
setting).
!
Switch SW1 (or appropriate jumper) should be set to the up position (-48VDC power
on).
