While BRI support is available on a number of PBXs, you should not plan to use ISDN
ports on your PBX for the TWOx12 unless the configuration is on the above list. If not, you
should arrange to test compatibility before purchasing the expansion module for your PBX.
Just because the sales person says it supports National ISDN-1 is not enough!
Compatibility varies widely. Let us know what you discover.
2.5.3 Connecting the TWOx12 to POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) (If you ordered an
ISDN TWOx12 see section 2.5.1)
The TWOx12 uses internal plug-in interface modules to attach to POTS (regular, analog
loop start, telephone lines). These modules have three modular jacks accessible through
each rear slot, in slots A, B, C & D. The type of jack will be a 6 position 4 pin “RJ-11”
style. You will connect the lines to the TWOx12 using the standard modular telephone
cables provided.
The Analog version of the TWOx12 has Telco interface cards in slots A, B, C, & D.
