System Programming Checklist (Copy this checklist and use it to help organize your
installation)
Part I-Line Information
For each interface slot (A, B, C, & D), there will be either an ISDN interface or a POTS
(analog line) interface present (see sections 2.5.1, 2.5.3, & 2.5.4 for illustrations).
There are 4 channels on an ISDN interface, called Top1, Top2, Bot1, & Bot2. The ISDN
BRI connected to the top jack has channels Top1 & Top2 while the ISDN BRI connected to
the lower jack has channels Bot1 & Bot2. Each of these channels will normally have its
own phone number (called a “DN” in USA and Canada or a “MSN” in areas using Euro-
ISDN).
There are only 3 channels on a POTS interface, called 1, 2, & 3. So a POTS interface in
Slot A would have 3 channels called 1, 2, & 3. Each of these channels will have its own
telephone number.
Please enter the information for each interface slot below. For ISDN lines enter the DN or
MSN in the space for Telephone Number. SPIDs are only needed with certain ISDN types
in the USA & Canada, see sections 3.3 and 7.3.2 for more information.
Once you have completed these pages the telephone numbers indicate under “Telephone
#/DN/MSN” from top to bottom will correspond to your Lines 1 through 12 of the system.
