Liquid Crystal Display LCD This is combined with a touch panel and is used for the
display section of the control panel.

arge Capacity Feeder LCF This option enables the placing of a large amount of
paper.

aser Driver LDR This is an element to drive the laser diode.

aser Scanning (Optical) Unit LSU This unit exposures print data onto the
photoconductive drum.

Magnetic roller - This roller is located inside the developer unit. North
and South poles are arranged in the magnetic roller.
Due to the lines of the magnetic force between the
north and south poles, the developer material forms a
brush-like fluff (magnetic brush developing) and
contacts the photoconductive drum.

ulti Function Peripheral MFP This is a type of equipment having various functions,
such as copying, printing, scanning and fax.

OPC Drum - This is also called “photoconductive drum” or “drum”.

Organic Photo Conductor OPC This is used as material for the photoconductive drum.
Charge is generated by irradiating the light.
Ozone filter - Ozone is slightly generated at image forming (at the
corona discharging during main charger processing).
This filter is meant to prevent ozone from being
released outside the MFP.
Pre-running - This is an operation to rotate the fuser unit which has
reached the available temperature for fusing to put the
MFP in the ready state for printing.

Paper Feed Pedestal PFP Up to two further drawers can be installed. Paper with
different sizes can be placed in each drawer of this
option.
Proxy Setting - This setting is carried out when a proxy server is used
for the connection environment of the internet.

RADF This option separates the original sheets, slightly slides
them and then transports them one by one to the
scanning position of the MFP. The front side of the
original is scanned at the scanning position. Then the
original is reversed to have its back side scanned.

ed Green Blue RGB This is one way to express the type of color. The initial
letter of red, green and blue which are the three
primary light colors.
Saddle stitch finisher - This is an option with the paper folding function and the
center stitching of the folded paper function embedded
into the Finisher. The center stitching is called “saddle
stitch”.
Self-refreshing development - This is a development method to maintain the constant
quality of the developer material in the developer unit
by charging the toner with the developer material
added.
Toner - Fine powder in which carbon and resin are mixed. This
is fused on the paper and forms images.

ransfer Belt Unit TBU This unit, which consists of the transfer belt and rollers,
rotates the belt. This transfers images formed on the
photoconductive drum to the transfer belt.
