5.6 High Security Mode
In order to comply with security certification, a high security mode is embedded in the MFP. Switching to
the high security mode is carried out by means of the self-diagnostic mode.
Once this has been done, the data in the HDD are encrypted and thus they become unreadable.
Therefore, do not change the setting while the MFP is being operated. When the MFP is placed in the
high security mode, a key icon is displayed on the touch panel screen. Change of the password is
required or restrictions will be generated in some functions.
