5.2 TopAccess
5.2.1 Overview
TopAccess is a utility for users. You can check device information of the MFP and job status and carry
out setting and maintenance through a web browser. Furthermore, you can share the address book by
making MFPs collaborate.
TopAccess has two types of the mode; one is an “access policy mode”, which can change the MFP
settings and manage users, and the other one is an “end-user mode”, which can only carry out the
checking of counters.
On TopAccess, the background of the Home screen, icons, layout, removal, and button and font size
can be customized.

5.2.2 Accessing TopAccess
You can access TopAccess by entering an IP address of the MFP or its device name into the URL of a
web browser.
5.2.3 Setting
• Some settings of TopAccess can also be configured by means of the self-diagnostic code.
• The user operates TopAccess in principle. However, a service technician can operate this with an
administrator privilege, but only if your customer requests you to do so.
• When TopAccess is used to carry out the necessary settings for setting up, ask your users and get
their approval beforehand.
