Screws are fixed in round holes at the time of factory shipment. Depending on the adjustment, some
screws are required to be moved to oblong holes and be fixed in the appropriate position.

Adjustment is performed by means of self-diagnostic codes, TopAccess and printer drivers.
3.4.4 Precautions when performing adjustment
Red or colored screws are used for the sections which are assembled and adjusted by jigs at the
time of factory shipment. This is done in order to notify you not to remove those sections in the field.
Never loosen or remove those screws since this kind of adjustment cannot be performed properly in
the field.

Understand the purpose and method of the adjustment well. If an adjustment is required to be
performed in a specified order, keep to this.
The available types and contents of adjustments differ depending on the models. When performing
an adjustment, refer to the Service Manual for each model.
