3.3 Errors and Clearing
When some trouble has occurred in the MFP, a corresponding message or a 4-digit error code is
displayed on the touch panel screen or TopAccess to help you to figure out what it is. P. 2-23 “[ 2-3 ]
When paper misfeeding occurs”
3.3.1 Overview of the error code
The overview of the error codes displayed when some trouble has occurred in the MFP is as shown
below.
For more details, refer to the Service Manual for each model.
3.3.2 Clearing of errors
When an error has occurred, the operation of the MFP is stopped, Therefore, take the necessary
actions immediately.
Actions to be taken corresponding to an error code may vary depending on the models. Therefore,
be sure to check the troubleshooting corresponding to the error code in the Service Manual of the
MFP in use.
Errors Example of error codes Overview
Beginning with “1” 1C10, 1CC1, etc. Internet fax function related errors
Beginning with “2” 2500, 2A51, etc. Scanning function related errors (except for hardware errors)
Beginning with “3” 3A10, 3C70, etc. E-mail reception related errors
Beginning with “4” 4011, 4F10, etc. Printing function, such as copying and printing, related errors
(except for hardware errors)
Beginning with “5” 5012, 5414, etc. Communication errors with an external application
Beginning with “6” 6007, 6052, etc. Errors related to access to the MFP, such as user authentication
and department authentication
Beginning with “7 711D, 71B5, etc. Errors related to the maintenance, such as firmware updating and
application installation
Beginning with “8” 8000, 8103, etc. Network related errors
Beginning with “A” A248, A260, etc. Errors which occur at the printing of copy or print jobs
Beginning with “C” C470, C130, etc. Hardware related errors (service call)
Beginning with “D” D101, D301, etc. Events recorded in a message log
Paper misfeeding and service call are not included.
Beginning with “E” E110, E120, etc. Paper misfeeding related errors
This is mainly caused by a defective part related to the paper
transportation.
Beginning with “F” F010, F200, etc. System related errors (service call)

In the following cases, a message is displayed and the MFP
operation is stopped. The user will take the necessary action in
principle.
When the toner has been used up
When the waste toner box has become full
When paper has run out
