4.2 Classification Colors for the Operation
In the MFPs and options, some colors corresponding to the operators are applied to the location to be
operated. The following table shows the classification for the colors and the locations operated by the
users and service technicians. Read this well to understand the meaning of the color so that you will be
able to perform the appropriate operation.
* The colors shown in the list are just samples. This is because how they are seen may differ
depending on the monitors and the types of paper to be printed.
Name Color * Meaning
Blue Locations to be operated by users during preventive
maintenance
e.g.: Operation section used for the replacement in the
process unit, fuser unit, paper feed roller
Green Locations to be operated by users other than for
preventive maintenance
e.g.: Operation section when releasing the misfed
paper, replacing the paper, toner and waste toner box
and cleaning the slit glass
Gray Locations to be operated by service technicians only
e.g.: Operation section used for the preventive
maintenance of the process unit, fuser unit, transfer
roller unit., transfer roller unit and paper feed roller
