Table 206 — Recommended Separation Distances between Portable and Mobile RF
Communications Equipment and the AureFlo
®
The AureFlo® is intended for use in an electromagnetic environment in which radiated RF disturbances are
controlled. The customer or the user of the AureFlo® can help prevent electromagnetic interference by
maintaining a minimum distance between portable and mobile RF communications equipment (transmitters)
and the AureFlo® as recommended below, according to the maximum output power of the communications
equipment.

For transmitters rated at a maximum output power not listed above, the recommended separation distance d in meters (m) can be estimated using
the equation applicable to the frequency of the transmitter, where P is the maximum output power rating of the transmitter in watts (W) according
to the transmitter manufacturer.
Note 1: At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the higher frequency range applies.
Note 2: These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic propagation is affected by absorption and reection from structures,
objects and people.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION:
For the service life of the meter the following instructions much be adhered to to maintain basic safety and
essential performance.
1) This equipment can be used anywhere in any Hospital or clinic except near active HF surgical equipment,
RF shielded room of an MRI magnetic imaging system where the intensity of EM disturbances is high or
near any high powered RF transmitter.
2) If this equipment does come into range of high levels of RF EM disturbances the meter may:
a) Display incorrect ow values.
b) Momentarily stop working and restart and the same point in the meter.
c) Stop working and need to be turned off and on again (Very rare occurrence)
3) Use only Transonic Systems Inc. approved accessories, cables or sensors. The use of non Transonic
approved accessories could result in increased electromagnetic emissions or decreased electromagnetic
immunity of this equipment and result in improper operation.
