11 Service and Maintenance
The UPS system (including battery) needs regular service and maintenance in long-term operation. This chapter elaborates
and advice on the service life, regular inspection, maintenance, and replacement of the UPS key components. Effective
maintenance of the UPS system can reduce the risk of UPS failure and prolong the UPS service life.
11.1 Safety
W ARN ING ! Inspection of UP S system can only be executed by p eop le w ho have received
relevant training , an d the inspection and replacem ent of the devices should only be
und ertaken by au thorized professionals.
W ARN ING ! T he co m ponents that can only be accessed by opening the protective cover w ith
tools canno t be operated by the u ser. O nly qualified service personnel are authorized to
rem ove such covers.
W ARN ING ! N ote that the neutral line h as h azardous v oltage when servicing the UP S.
W ARN ING ! T he input/outp ut/b ypass sw itch are optional. If the user does not require them ,
please set the external breaking device. Sw itch off the external breaking device b efore
service, and ensure the UPS is de-en ergized.
11.2 Service Procedures of Power Module and Bypass Power Module
11.2.1 Notes
1. Only customer service engineers shall service the power modules and bypass power module.
2. Remove the power modules and bypass power module from top to bottom, to prevent cabinet toppling due to
high center of gravity.
3. The power module, and bypass power module may have high-volatge inside. For your own safety, do not
disassemble them.
4. The power modules and bypass power modules should be serviced 5 minutes after they are removed, and replug
them into the cabinet after 5 minutes.
5. Modules of different types cannot be pulled out of the cabinet at the same time.
