3 Mechanical Installation
This chapter briefly introduces the mechanical installation of the UPS, including the precautions, initial inspection before
installation, environmental requirement, mechanical requirement, and installation diagram.
3.1 Precautions
This chapter describes the environmental and mechanical requirements and mechanical considerations that must be taken
into account when planning the positioning and cabling of the UPS equipment.
Because each site has its particular characteristics, this chapter does not provide the detailed installation steps, it only acts as
a guide for the general procedures and practices that should be observed by the installing engineer, so that they can properly
handle the specific situation of the site.

Do n ot disassem ble the package w ithout the perm ission of authorized service engineer.
Th e U PS sh ould be installed by an authorized en gin eer in accordance w ith the inform ation
contained in this ch apter.
W ARN ING ! T he U P S can be connected to IT , TN , and TT AC distribution system s (IEC 60 364-
3) and m ust be of 3-phase 5-w ire (A, B , C, N, PE) system .
W ARN ING ! B attery dang er
Take special care when installing batteries. W hen connecting batteries, the battery term inal
voltage will reach 320 Vd c, wh ich is fatal to h um an being.
Please w ear safety glasses to protect the eyes from being dam aged by the electric arc.
Rem ove all the m etal item s, including fing er rings, watch, etc.
Use tools with insulated handle.
W ear rubber gloves.
If the battery has electrolyte leakage or the battery is dam aged , it m ust be replaced. Place the
battery into the container that can w ithstan d sulfuric acid and dispose of it according to the
local reg ulations.
If the skin com es in contact of electrolyte, flush it w ith water im m ediately.
