Engine Oil Level
Check the engine oil level daily before each ride.
See page 88.
Engine Oil & Filter Change
Change the engine oil at the intervals listed in the
Periodic Maintenance Table on page 134.
1. Start and run the engine until it reaches normal
operating temperature. Stop the engine.
2. Securely support the motorcycle on the
sidestand.
3. Place an oil drain pan under the drain plug (1)
and oil filter (2).
4. Remove the drain plug with a 6mm Allen
wrench, allowing the oil to drain into the pan.
5. Use a 2 1/2 inch (63.5 mm) oil filter wrench to
loosen the filter slowly. Allow oil to drain.
