Whenleavingtheharvesterheadunattended,itis
advisabletoleaveitintheuprightposition(tilt-up),
pointingawayfromtheoperator’scab,withtheboom
stretchedrightout.
Donotlaytheharvesterheadandlinkmechanismdown
insuchamannerthattherotatorcomesintocontactwith
thearm.Doingsomayresultinseriousdamagetothe
rotatormotor.
DelimbingMulti-leaders
Whenhandlingmulti-leaders,delimbuptotheleader,and,
ifpossible,openthedelimbarmsandfeedthrough.This
willallowthearmstobeclosedononeoftheleadersafter
passingthefork.Thismethodrequiresseveralmetres
beforebeingclosed,atwhichpointtheharvesterheadcan
bereversedtothepointwhereoneleadercanbecutoff.
CAUTION:Whencuttingleaders,ensurethesaw
barisnotpinchedbetweenleaders.
Thisleadercannowbeprocessed.
Iftheharvesterheadwillnotpassoverthefork,dropthe
logandre-positionitfurtherdownthelog.
