Software Copyright
Your PEGASUS WING keyboard comes from the latest generation of instruments in the WERSI
OAS Series. The central control of all its functions is provided by a PC running under Microsoft’s
WINDOWS® 7 operation system.
The instrument is shipped with various computer programs whose copyright property is owned
either by the manufacturer or other firms.
You receive these programs with the right to run them on your instrument only. Running the
programs on other computers or other instruments, making copies of these programs (except
for your own backup purposes), or transferring the programs to third parties is expressly
forbidden and represents an infringement of the copyright regulations and is therfore a
punishable offense.
The End User License Agreement for the WINDOWS® operation-system is part of Microsoft’s
original documentation.
Music Copyright
Please respect the copyright rules concerning reproduction of music in public. This applies to
music that you play yourself and to music that you reproduce from an audio CD, MP3 or MIDI
file.
Warrenty and Information about the Operating System and Hardware
In accordance with the applicable legal regulations, the manufacturer guarantees the
functionality of your instrument in the original hardware and software configuration
as shipped from our factory.
Your hardware is controlled by the system code which applies to all the
components used in your instrument. The system code is the distinctive fingerprint of
your instrument. If components (circuit boards, RAM, processor etc.) are changed, the
system code changes, resulting in activations being lost and the instrument can no
longer be used.
We would like to point out once more that any claim under your warrenty would be
invalidated if a malfunction arose
• through the installation of additional software programmes, not supplied or expressly
authorised and released for an application by WERSI and which lead to a failure of the
operating system by, for example, so-called drivers not compatible with the WINDOWS®
version in use or not programmed for it.
• through the installation of components not optimised to work with the WERSI OAS/
PEGASUS system
• through the installation of replacement or additional components not supplied by WERSI.
You should therefore first contact WERSI before planning to install ‘alien’ software or hardware.
It is also most important for your instrument to work correctly not to make any changes to
the ‘Wersi’ folder or any of its sub-folders on the PC’s hard disk or to the WINDOWS folder. This
means you must neither delete, move nor create new files or folders here nor store any other
files here (apart from when installing official software updates).
If intervention in the WINDOWS file system results in malfunction, only a modified
WERSI/WINDOWS version of a special CD should then be installed!
As in this case your personal files will be deleted, you should always back-up your data at
regular intervals or after saving large amounts of data.
