spatialresolutionof30m.Pleasebeawarethattheelevationdataissubjecttouncertaintyanddoes
notaccountforvegetationorbuildings(forfurtherinformationcheckAdvancedFlightPlanning).
Terrainfollowingisenabledbydefaultasitensuresbestdataquality(uniformGSDandoverlapsas
setinplanning)andmakesyourflightsafer.Pleasebeawarethatyouneedtopayextracarein
certainsituationsase.g.inmineswhereterrainchangessubstantiallyovertime,orinsteepterrain
(slope>100%or45deg).
GSD,Overlaps,FlightDirection:Foreveryarea,youcanchoosethedesiredgroundsampling
distance,whichdefinesthesizeofapixelontheground.Itisdirectlylinkedtotheflightaltitudethat
canbeadjustedalternatively.Inmostcases,itisadvisabletoadjusttheflightdirection.Youcanalso
adjustthesideandfrontoverlapsoftheimages.Decreasethesideoverlaptomaximizethe
area/minimizetheflighttime.Increasetheoverlapstooptimizethefinalmapquality.Reliable
orthomosaicscanbecreatedwithimagerydownto60%frontandsideoverlapsforareaswithout
forestorbuildings.Formoresophisticatedlandscapes,youhavetoincreasetheoverlaps.
ConnectionbetweendifferentAreas:Wheninsertingmorethanonearea,theyareconnected
throughaloiterwaypoint.ThisisacircleonwhichtheWingtraOneloitersfromthealtitudeofthe
previousareatotheoneofthenext.ItslocationcanbemanuallyadjustedduringFlightPlansetupto
enablesafetransitionfromoneareatothenextone.
Step4:(Optional)AdjustGeofenceandRTHsettings
Youcanadjustthegeofence,whichisthemaximumalloweddistancefromHome,byclickingonthe
respectivemenuontherightside(B).Clickonthetriangletounfoldthemenu.Bydefault,horizontal
geofenceissetto1200mandverticalgeofenceissetto400m.Increasingthegeofencesizeallows
theusertooperateWingtraOnebeyondvisuallineofsight(BVLOS).Beforechangingthegeofence
limits,makesurethatWingtraOneisoperatedwithinthelocallegalboundaries.Iftheflightexceeds
3kmhorizontalor800mverticaldistancefromHome(inspecificsituationsashighwindsorhighflight
altitudeevenearlier),successfulRTHonlowbatterycannotbeguaranteedandrequiresexpert
planning.
MinimumRTHaltitudedefinesthelowestaltitudeinwhichRTHisperformed.Youcanchangeitfrom
thedefaultof60mifnecessary.IncaseRTHisengagedincruiseandWingtraOnefliesbelowthe
specifiedaltitude,itwillfirstclimbtothisaltitudebeforeflyingbacktotheloitercircleandperforming
theplannedlanding.IncaseWingtraOneishigherthanthevaluesethere,itwillreturntoloitercircle
oncurrentaltitudebeforeperformingtheplannedlanding.
Furthermore,youcanadjusttheconnectionlosstimeout.ThisvaluedefineshowlongWingtraOnewill
continueitsmissionuntiltriggeringRTHincaseboth,RCandtelemetryconnectionarelost.
